Chainsaws and kango hammers in the garden

Sadly I don't have any pictures of the back garden in its original form but let me describe it to you. It had a massive tree, perhaps a sycamore, which shaded the garden and the house, despite its Westerly direction. Now I don't want you feeling sorry for this tree. It was sucking all the nutrients from the soil and blocking out so much sun that grass wouldn't even grow in half the garden. It also had a midge population, probably a midge metropolis, which meant staying in the garden for too long gave you a chickenpox appearance. It had to go.

A fearless tree surgeon tackling the tree whilst I try to sleep through the sound of chainsaws after doing an all night advertising pitch.

The next thing was to get rid of all the Ivy and replace the fencing and also to relay the lawn which was bumpy, patchy and full of weeds.

My Dad doing the fences. By God this man knows how to make a fence straight.

The garden all happy like - look I've even power hosed the steps!
